Welcome
Sudan Women’s Association (SWA) was established in 1991 by Sudanese women, when the war was intensified in Sudan, and the flood of refugees came to the UK to seek refuge.
SWA is run by a Management Committee made up of local Camden Sudanese women. We are a registered Charity and a Company limited by Guarantee.
We aim to:

- Reduce Isolation and promote the integration of Sudanese women in the new society.
- Increase health awareness among women, children, young people and the elderly.
- Increase access / signposting and advice to other mainstream services.
SWA offers services and holds activities such as:
- ESOL and IT classes
- Social and cultural events to recognise and celebrate Sudanese culture.
- To Organise Training, awareness and workshop sessions.
- Providing training to increase the chances of employability.
